Data export and portability

Last updated:

How to obtain your company data from CompanyDeskAL, including when switching providers. This page describes the scope, formats, request process and limitations of export.

Data included in export

Export concerns the relevant company and the data actually stored in its database, including existing records marked inactive. The scope follows section 7 of the agreement. Categories and example fields are listed below.

Clients and discounts
Identifiers, first and last names, contact details, city, age, gender, notes, active status and assigned discounts.
Users and employees
Identifiers, names, email addresses, roles, active status and commission rates, without authentication credentials.
Procedures and services
Names, groups, prices, durations, active status and links to products.
Appointments and payments
Dates and times, durations, statuses, client and employee references, appointment procedures, prices, notes, and recorded payment amounts and methods.
Schedules and absences
Employee, date, entry type, working hours, breaks, days off, sick leave and notes.
Products and inventory
Product details, purchases, quantities and remaining stock, purchase prices, VAT, expiry dates and product usage during appointments.
Commissions and settlements
Settlement periods, employees, service amounts, bonuses, payouts, statuses and commission items linked to appointments.
Settings and history
Company settings, opening hours and exceptions, and available client and appointment change history, without platform secrets.

Formats and structure

The standard format is UTF-8 CSV with field descriptions. Another agreed, commonly used machine-readable format is possible. Files may be packaged in a ZIP archive.

  • Data is arranged as records: rows represent records and columns represent described fields. Related datasets, such as appointments, their procedures and payments, may be provided in separate files.
  • Identifiers and reference fields connect records, for example an appointment with its client, employee, procedures and payments. They do not automatically match identifiers in another system.
  • Documentation accompanying each export specifies file structure, field names and meanings, relationships, CSV delimiter, empty values, number and date formats, times and time zone. Package details are confirmed while handling the request.

How to request an export

  1. Contact the service provider through the channel specified in your agreement, in a form that keeps a record of the request. State the company name and the account email of an authorised representative.
  2. Specify whether you need a full export or selected categories and a date range. Describe the purpose and preferred format. When switching providers, include the new provider contact details as required by the agreement.
  3. After checking authorisation to receive the data, the service provider agrees the scope, timing and secure delivery method for the package and field descriptions.

Do not include passwords, licence tokens or unnecessary client data in your request. This public page does not accept requests or provide company data files.

Limitations and exclusions

  • Export reflects data existing when it is prepared, within the agreed scope. It does not promise recovery of previously deleted records and is not a backup of the entire platform.
  • Data belonging to other companies, passwords and password hashes, licence tokens, sessions, access keys and other security secrets are not supplied.
  • Export excludes source code, algorithms, libraries and the platform permission model shared across customers. Login rate-limiting data and internal provider security logs are excluded unless they constitute Customer Data. Exclusions must not hinder or delay switching providers.
  • Payment data consists of amounts and methods recorded for appointments. It is not a bank statement or transaction confirmation from a payment processor.
  • Export does not automatically import data into another application. Mapping fields and formats to the destination system requires agreement with its provider.

Report available in the application

The company owner can download a CSV report of the latest client import in Account > Import when that report is available in the current session. It contains import results and processed row data. It is not a full client or company data export. XLS/XLSX import support does not imply export support for those formats.

Timing and contractual terms

Switching providers follows section 7 of the agreement, including the transitional period and at least 30 calendar days to retrieve data after that period ends. Extensions and subsequent deletion are governed by the agreement.

This description supplements the agreement and does not restrict contractual or statutory rights. It is updated when export capabilities change. It does not promise an additional automated migration mechanism.
